    Project Safe Point is a prevention service through Catholic Charities which has several components: syringe exchange, access to syringes and prevention materials, access to disposal sites and opioid overdose prevention.  You can obtain free, brand new needles for hormone replacement therapy as well.

    Online grassroots movement.  "The Transgender Advocates of the Capital Region is a community-based advocacy group dedicated to supporting and empowering the trans* community of New York. Its membership is composed of trans-identified individuals, as well as allies who believe in the cause."

     

    Empire State Pride Agenda Foundation

    NYS Guide to local, regional and statewide health and human services for the Trans* communities.  This site includes individuals who have been identified as "trans-friendly" and can assist with hormonal replacement therapy, augmentation, reduction, surgery, mental health, massage, paying for medical bills, and other services.

    In a Bind

    In a Bind is a project of TransActive's Community Education Program. They collect new and pre-owned chest binders from guys who don't need them anymore and donate them to trans-masculine youth in need absolutely free of charge.

    Trans* masculine and genderqueer youth living anywhere in the USA can apply to receive a free binder from their program.

    Trans Lifeline is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to the wellbeing of transgender people. We run a hotline staffed by transgender people for transgender people.

    This line is primarily for transgender people experiencing a crisis. This includes people who may be struggling with their gender identity and are not sure that they are transgender. While our goal is to prevent self harm, we welcome the call of any transgender person in need. We will do our very best to connect them with services that can help them meet that need. If you are not sure whether you should call or not, then please call us.

    Our operators will only call emergency services with your expressed consent.

    Ryan Sallans is a transgender man who is an author, public speaker, and activist. His website contains a number of videos where Ryan Sallans discusses coming out, testosterone, surgical procedures for transitioning, and questions regarding it.

The Alliance for Positive Health provides a continuum of direct services to people living with HIV/AIDS and their family members.
