I am an internationally recognized expert in transgender care with 25 years experience working with transsexual, transgender and gender variant people of all ages, especially young gender variant children, and their families. When someone is contemplating a gender transition it is my approach to work with the whole family as everyone transitions in a gender transition. I have a solid record of success in workplace transitions for clients and have a consulting practice just for workplace transitions. My expertise lends itself to working with transgender clients from many varied racial, cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds.

I work with lesbian, gay and bisexual individuals as well as assisting in the coming out process, and the consolidation of identity as a gay or lesbian person and working with issues related to family and relationship.

My clinical expertise extends to psychotherapy with trauma survivors, that is, both trauma experienced in childhood (emotional, physical and sexual abuse) and current adult trauma, as returning veterans many experience. I work with people with PTSD, dissociative disorders; individuals in addictions/substance abuse recovery; anxiety and depression, loss and grief, chronic illness, and disability, including brain injury. I work with adolescents and their families over a full range of emotional and behavior concerns.

My approach in working with clients is founded in the values of respect, unconditional positive regard, collaboration and compassion. I employed an eclectic blend of many modalities based upon the idea that a well stocked tool kit builds the best house--you.
